Driving History

ERS-NW Driving History profiles reveal an applicant's past driving history. It includes current license status, date of expiration, restrictions, suspensions and violations.

Many employers request Driving History profiles on non-driving applicants, believing that it points out a propensity for recklessness and identifies erratic behavior.

ERS-NW has a special DOT program, which asks DOT required questions pertaining to previous employment and drug testing.

Processing Information

In order to process the Driving History profile accurately and to give you enough information to evaluate the applicant, the following information is needed:

• Applicant’s Full Name, Including Maiden and Any Other Names Used
• Social Security Number
• Current Driver’s License Number
• State of Issuance
• Date of Birth

When requesting a Driving History profile, please review the application to make sure this information is included. Additional information supplied by the applicant is often beneficial in compiling a comprehensive profile and should be submitted. ERS-NW profiles are subject to the quality and quantity of the data provided by the applicant.

Our Policies

• Even though each state uses its own code system, ERS-NW tries to standardize these
       codes. If you are unable to understand the translation, please contact us for clarification.
• Occasionally, a state may cause a delay in obtaining information due to holidays or
       scheduled maintenance of computer systems.

While we have standard policies and procedures, we also provide customized profiles. Please speak with your customer service or marketing representative to make the changes you need.
